It's Thursday night and have a strong desire to write about my town and the beautiful things I have come across since moving to the Orange County area. I am sure there are hundreds of wonderful blogs already out there about all the amazing places in the OC, but I still want to tell my story and paint a picture of Orange County and, in particular, Los Alamitos. the way I see it-- an underestimated, overlooked, beautiful little town that's surrounded by a diverse socio-economic culture.
Also, I will be blogging about my new found passion for gardening and furniture making. You see, for the past year and a half I have killed more flowers than I would like to admit. On the upside, I have noticed a decline in the number of flower deaths recently. So, I know I'm not a lost cause, one could even say I've graduated from a black thumb to a brown, yellowish thumb. Now, when I say furniture making, I mean simple tables, benches, spice racks... I'm a novice, an amateur, who loves to create useful and oftentimes, beautiful things, out of a few 2x4's. I'm not a gardener; I'm not a carpenter. I don't know what I'm doing most of the time, but that doesn't stop me.
I'm hoping that when I'm old, very old... I can look back at this blog and re-live the moments and things that brought so much joy to my life and if I can inspire at least one person, then that would just make it all the more worthwhile.
